For the lovely particle line, as we can’t seem to figure out what it is… I decided to use both. lawl. “Radical particle”
I personally think it’s supposed to be a pun, since the words sound so similar. It makes sense too. Why else make her tiny? They could have made her powerless, or colorless, or something stupid like that. But small (particle) sounds similar to Radical… so there’s your pun.
That’s just my guess though. Enjoy~

It’s 急進派(“radical”). 100%.
Haruhi-chan volume 02 page 155.
Awesome!
Thanks again.
But is it just me or are Haruhi 9 and 10 both having a problem with the captions for the pop-up signs?
Normally you can’t see the Japanese behind it but in these two the English and Japanese are both visible together overlapping.
:S
I’m not seeing that problem. ;/ And they’re done the same way the previous episodes were done.
Which version do you watch? XviD or h264?
And conor-subs, you have to remember that animes aren’t always a PERFECT adaption of the mangas. It’s quite possible that a slight slur was added on purpose, to add a pun.
There was plenty of discussion as to whether or not it was radical or not… and most everyone agreed that it didn’t sound like a k sound, but instead an r sound.
About the signs… I haven’t been able to read them very well in ANY of the episodes, because they overlap other (Japanese) text… Why did you choose to put it over the other text rather than in the empty space that’s usually right besides the big random labels/signs?
Well, so far, from what I’ve seen and read, it is a PERFECT adaption of the manga(except for the very small filler parts). Even the sighs and random noises are exactly the same…. but whatever. I liked your solution(though it’s “radical”‘ for sure
).
Anyway, you should really use the manga from no on. I don’t need to tell you that Kadokawa ’s TL sucks balls. There are TONS of stupid mistakes which can easily be fixed.
DaVince: Please update your installation of VSFilter.
Conor: I don’t have the manga, and I’m not about to go out and buy it \o/
I watching the h264 version.
But it might be because I’m not using any Windows based codecs anymore.
I’m Linux-ing.
Still experimenting with video players.
The reason I commented on it is because one of the older eps works sort of fine.
Just some of them are messed.
:S
I’m sure I’ll find a solution eventually!
Interesting. They’re designed to work on Windows with the latest VSFilter build, with stuff like \blur and the other yummy stuff…
You can easily find it on TT

I tried that before.
There you go(the first two): http://tokyotosho.com/search.php?terms=%E3%83%8F%E3%83%AB%E3%83%92&type=3
=D
I thought Kadokawa hit the translation right on with the radical particle line as in being a radical faction member. Now the meaning seems different and not as humourous. :O
I was just wondering, are they going to release more episodes or is it only 10?
I can’t update VSFilter because I use MPlayer to play the vids (for great speed and stuff). Just noticed that this episode does have label coverups though (or somehow the latest update of MPlayer started supporting whatever’s needed). ^_^
