Progress, Day 3
May 20th, 2009
Woo. So today was NOT as productive as it could/should have been. Sorry ;o;
15-20 went into QC, and I’ve got a goodly amount of notes. But keep doing it, guys! The more notes, the better the releases will be!! I’ll probably fix them up after work tomorrow, and hopefully Umi will be around and we can release.
As an added bonus, here is a QC section for 22! So make notes for that too <3
For 21, I need some TSes that I missed. 3 to be exact. So we'll have to wait for a TL to get on.
23 timing has started... 24/25 have yet to be edited. X.x

It's been HOT up here yesterday and today. SRSLY. It got up to 97 degrees yesterday!!! O_O And about 94 today. Completely INSANE. (Here = Minnesota, USA, btw) We are NOT ready for this heat... thank god it's going away though, xD Tomorrow is a high of about 70.
So yeah, that's the reason 23 didn't get done. >_> I was so *hot* that I just passed out. And slept. For a number of hours @_@ 24 would’ve gotten done too. But bleh. THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW.
Also, you guys are amazing <3 I love my Shamisen leechers.

HARUHI SEASON TWO – LOOKING FOR A TRANSLATOR
Hi! I’m looking for a translator to work on season 2 with! We won’t be fast (Hello, gg/Eclipse/Shinsen/Chihiro/CoalGuys/whoever else will do it fast-like) but hey, I’ll follow the same policy and have it be an open-book process. We don’t have a staff room, all of our QC is done here on the site… yeah, we’re pretty open. 
So yeah, if you’re a translator and interested in working on the second season (we’re looking at 14 episodes worth of material, so not *too* much 
) please let me know.

also, how is it so hot? In NJ, we are getting 60’s (no idea why…I’m somewhat cold), with high 30’s in the morning. makes me not want to leave my bed (that’s not how summer should be)
lastly, a quick question:
for s2, are you guys going to use HQ raws or just whatever you can get your hands on? I’ve been looking at raws such as leopard-raws, and they are poor in quality, so I hope you have some good secret source for raws…

Alyu: If we do it, we’ll work off of HQ raws. ^^ It’ll likely be aired in 720p, and if so, we’d do it in that.

It was how hot in Minnesota yesterday?: Check out the map below and you’ll find the reds and pinks color shades moving into southwest Minnesota. Upper 90s were plentiful in that part of the state and even one location topped out at 100 degrees on the mark.

Here’s just a sampling of the sizzling high temps:
* Granite Falls: 100 degrees
* Madison: 99 degrees
* Montevideo: 99 degrees
* Owatonna: 99 degrees
* Redwood Falls: 99 degrees
Why so hot? Two things: 1) Warm front was sliding south to north across the southern half of the state…southerly winds transporting in warmth and 2) Air was sweeping down from higher to lower elevations (downsloping winds) which leads to compressional warming. Air warms when it descends.
Meanwhile, in the northern part of the state, high temps only managed to climb into the low 50s. This allowed for a temperature swing of more than 60 degrees from one end of the state to the other. From a meteorological perspective, this is very cool! Fine, call me a nerd.

As for the ED, I need to talk to people to get it translated/effected. It’ll take some time. I also gotta get the OP fixed with official lyrics.

Peter: That’s what sources are saying… that it’s gonna start airing. So, we might as well believe sources.
I will do anything I can to help with quality control and the such like. It’s great news to hear that you’re gonna try Season Two, Shamisen is totally the best sub group in terms of community, people and quality, imo.
