tl;dr rest of haruhi-chan
I do wish I could have given you rest of Haruhi-chan. I really do. However, there are lines that need to be checked by a TLC. I have not seen any of our TLCs since jedi423 worked on the past batch with me.
It makes it difficult to release episodes when there are lines that need teh checking. 
I don’t want to release a bad product, like my SUPER fail in episode 17 where I had a typo. (BTW, you want a v2 or should we just wait for the DVD to fix?)

Here is the torrent for the first DVD of Haruhi-chan. I have verified it and it is the DVD. It contains the first ten episodes of Haruhi-chan, as well as the first five episodes of Nyoron. It also contains a commercial and the opening for Haruhi-chan. The DVD is completely raw, there are no subtitles on it.
Now, as for Shamisen work… what I want to do is have one of my good friends & good translators do a full TLC of the episodes, not just the what-lines-don’t-make-sense that I have done for the YouTube versions. However, said friend is half-way through a 10 week internship, and is offly busy. But I’m sure he’ll be able to work on them quicker than I have been xD;;
So yeah, look for at least some of them soonish.

anytime there’s a delay for the cause of insuring quality control is always ok.I’m just glad someone’s subbing at all.
Well, while I’m waiting, I’ll re-enact episodes while listening to the soundtrack.

Hmm… Since the DVDs are out, why don’t you just release the rest using the DVD source instead of Youtube rips? Saves you some time if you’re gonna be re-encoding anyway. As for episode 17, I’d rather just wait until the DVD re-encode, since it’d be a waste of effort to release something that adds a single letter.

I would say quality is what is most important and devoted fans will wait.
But to be honest I hate incomplete collections, waiting is fine, for sake of completion.
BTW how many Haruhi chan DVDs are going to be released, I might download them, raws will just seem like perfect “WTF is this?” thing to everyone I know.
Awww, I’m a leecher. But at least I was able to find it for you guys. The other dvd’s will be released monthly. The second dvd will come out on 2009-06-26 while the third will come out on 2009-07-30.

At least ur not be lazy. I was wondering what was taking you so long. Just take as long as you need and I’ll wait. Can’t wait til rest of episodes cuz ive seen them without subs and they look funny. And some of the episodes have been subbed by japs but are all in engrish.

At 1:43 “don’t” is missing an apostrophe.
At 2:01 “crowded” is missing a “d”.
And I can’t seem to find where the word “awfully” is used (Referring to the comment above.)

awfully was spelled ‘offly’ in the original post, not in any episode.
@NoobHunterD You don’t. It’s an FLAC file. FLAC is a format similar to mp3, only better quality. Unfortunately, it’s the entire OST in one file. It’s not broken down into tracks. So hopefully a better rip will come along by Nipponsei or another group.
Anamorphic releases… hmm. Haven’t played with anamorphic stuff before :3
@RommieSG: The cue file that comes with the torrent is used to split the FLAC file into the separate tracks. Then you can convert them into MP3 format. I split and converted all the songs to mp3. If you guys want me to upload it to megaupload or something I will.

One typo can barely be called a SUPER fail. I’d say that these subs are pretty good and you’re making less typos than SOME bad groups out there that really need some QC’s…
Anamorphic… just means you don’t bother with a resize filter and instead set it 16/9 when you make the MKV. The good player software does the rest.

if you need someone to check if the vids are grammatically correct, I could look at them, but if you want someone who knows japanese to look at them then i can’t help.
Just to say that anybody who asks for a v2 over 1 spelling error should be put up against a wall and shot.
And also to say a HUGE “thank you!” for subbing this wonderful bit of insanity for us.
I’m in Jack’s position. In that I would gladly take a fine toothed comb to an episode or two. But if you need someone fluent in both languages, then I’m about as useful as Haruhi in a drawing contest.

I think what Shamisen is doing is fine but all you need is patience or else nothing good will happen or you might just piss him/her off enough to make them stop untill some1 has learned there lesson

Umm, no it isn’t. I have it on my computer and it plays just fine. You have to mount the iso image to a virtual drive using daemon tools. When you do it should run like a normal DVD put in a disk drive.
Either that or you didn’t download it all the way.

Of course you can’t burn it, dvd’s have region locks on them. You can’t play foreign dvd’s in american players and computers (unless if they were created over here.) The only reason why you can play it virtually is because the software creating the virtual drive bypasses the region lock.
