woot… only a matter of time, and the laughs will continue =D

  • ThristyCow says:

Hold on a second, is that the first episode again of the haruhi-chan spin off season?
If so, then is it better quality?
    =]

  • Manwards says:

These new encodes are from the DVD versions, so yes, the quality will be better. Looking forward to seeing it, Shami! I knew you’d come through for us eventually.

  • C.R. says:

    anticipation.like a pressure cooker.yay.

  • Peter says:

Omega looking forward to this maho~!

(Sorry. Been watching Paniponi Dash recently.)

  • RommieSG says:

Will there be XviD versions? Or will they all be mkv versions?

  • Blah says:

Yay! Can’t wait! Definitely looking forward to them.

  • Anon says:

    I still don’t understand why people want XviD’s O.O
Anyone care to explain why having crap quality is good?

  • Rokudaime says:

has less to do with the video quality, and more to do with the fact that some people prefer hardsubs I think, and the fact that avi can be used on other things than just the PC,as opposed to mkv.personally,I like hardsubs better than soft, but I also prefer the higher video quality, and I only watch anime on my computer,so either is fine by me.My wish is that groups would start using hardsubs in an h264. mkv container.that would be awesome.

  • …hardsubs in a mkv container? Nah, if you’re gonna do hardsubs, do it in a MP4.

  • Manwards says:

Yes, the main attraction of XviD is that you can plug them into an Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or even PSP and be sure the subtitles will function. It’s good for anime marathons with friends. Nobody wants to crowd around a 20″ PC monitor.

  • Rokudaime says:

Yeah, you’re both right. Though I usually watch anime on my own. ;-) when I’m with my friends we usually do other things. Also, why don’t you just plug your computer to your TV? It’s easy. No need for a PS3, XBox 360 or PSP.

  • Manwards says:

My TV and PC are in different rooms, on different floors, so it’s not as convenient as it might seem. If Shamisen does XviDs, I’ll download them for 360 use, and get the MKVs for myself.

  • ThristyCow says:

Get a WD media player, u plug in external hard drives and can play all kinds of formats, including MKV with soft subs. It’s video output is onto TV

  • Nobody says:

    That’s why having a 26″ monitor is awesome : >

  • PhantomCaller says:

If you just removed the word monitor/television from some of these posts, you’d think people would be talking about some objects of phallic proportions.

“I have a 30 incher by the way, ladies. Rawr.”

  • HungryLizard says:

mkv is full of variabilities and HQ. U can easily convert a 23 min ep in 10 minutes or so (To .mp4 which plays on PS3).

  • Peter says:

I’m gonna be getting a PMP soon. It supports mkvs, but not .ass subs. Srt, yes, but not ass. Subs actually in the video are preferred, but they’re getting harder and harder to find as more and more fansubbers decide to use mkvs and ass subs.

    ass

  • Yuki.N says:

    so…

When can we expect a release?

  • Rokudaime says:

Was wondering about the same thing…

  • Lett303 says:

will there be any nyoron~chan DVD? And will there be an XVID version

  • Manwards says:

“Nyoro~n Churuya-san” was released on the same DVDs as “Haruhi-chan”, and I’m sure Shamisen has mentioned he’ll be releasing them too. It was mentioned earlier in this thread that he isn’t sure about XviDs, due to the lower video quality.
