Some of the spam comments are really weird.
Like, there was one that asked how much money does Wisconsin make from speeding tickets every year.
I am confused.

Although that’s not so much an answer as it is a typo-strewn disaster of a sentence.

What I find weird is that you haven’t announced jack squat about releases of DVD eps of Haruhi-chan after all this time, despite that you’ve torrented both DVD images and have done enough scripts to just be able to plug them in and turn them loose.
Perhaps he wants to release them all in a single batch?

Not all the TLCs are done yet. I’m still finishing 23, and should be done 24 soon.

Thank you! I was hoping progress was made. So I’m guessing the entire thing will be released in a batch? And sorry for sounding pushy, but with no update on anything for a month I get a little antsy.

Thanks for the update. I (and others, I’m sure) would have been less uptight if you’d kept us informed like this from the beginning.
Well, I couldn’t very much “update”, as I only do TLCs (and fandubs in the case of the opening and ending). Frankly, I’m not even so sure how it’ll all be released. Shami hasn’t replied to me in about a week. Hopefully he’s okay.
But ye, again, I just translate stuff. There are other layers to the job (like Encoding, Typesetting, Quality Checking, Understanding the really weird notes I write on each episode [This has to be by far the hardest part, as my notes are "Gainax Ending"-level confusing - if shamisen wanted to make an April's fool fansub, he could really just leave the notes in as sub track 2]).
So ye – lots of layers, means quite a lot of time. I can’t even begin to think of how hard it will be to include the subs to Nyoro~n 7 (sooo many text boxes).
I’m hoping it will all be released soon as well. But let us all have a bit of patience, as we’re trying to release the best work we’re capable of outputting – quality takes time.
Nobody argues, that quality takes time. But author of this site always tried to keep his visitors informed. And when everything is almost here such silence seems at least strange. More than that absolutely irrelevant message about spam, when everybody is waiting for some info… It’s not a clever post. We can wait month, we can wait two… But web-site is an on-line place, which is designated for as fast as possible information updates.
Well, mate, I unfortunately can’t say much in response here. I just TLC and try to do what I can. You’re kind of shooting the messenger. All I was trying to do was keep people informed.
Also, I don’t even know what happened to Shamisen Fyi, but especially with the pandemic around, you should always be more thoughtful before blaming people – always give people the benefit of the doubt – for all we know the man could have contracted the H1N1, and wouldn’t you feel like an ass if that happened, and you were blaming a sick man? God willing he has nothing, but being thoughtful doesn’t hurt…
He is just lazy! No more, no less.

When people do something for you and ask for nothing in return, you thank them. You don’t demand more from them. You don’t complain that you are not being informed about the status of your next gift. You wait.
On that note, I want to thank Shamisen & Co. for all their efforts thus far.
Don’t make me laugh. Fan subs is a gift? How many times Shamisen releases was downloaded and watched on YT? And how many thanks did he get? Nobody doing such jobs for someone, they do this for themselves.
About H1N1… Of course, it has status of epidemy, but not even great.It’s just more infectious than normal flu. Don’t you know, that thousand of people die every year from normal flu? Don’t allow the mass media wash your brain.
I don’t blaming anyone. I am endlessly grateful to Shamisen group and all other people, who supports it. It’s just a matter of… attitude. If you chatting with your auditory and releasing or you are doing like you want and don’t get an auditory. I am not a bad guy, just a realist.
If you want my message in friendly way, what I want to say is: “Your subs are great! Can’t wait for release. Could you please, tell us how the DVD releases are going?”

I added Shamisen-Subs to my list of start pages so I can check daily with minimum effort. (Ctrl-W, ctrl-w, ctrl-tab…)

People like “finger” are the reason I’m surprised anyone bothers working on fansubs. Can you imagine spending hours of your personal time doing a difficult job, making one of your hobbies into a chore, only to have people complain about it? Fansubbers are saints, in my opinion.

Because I am doing this for three years now and I am not intended to stop. And let me tell you — the first ones who come are the ones, who want to complain. And 99.99% of complaints are just irrelevant nonsense and only 0.01% are useful and really shows some laсks. But of course I get one or two thanks… When there are at least thousand of people, which are using my creations. And, of course, I may say: “These two thanks out of thousand is what I am working for”. But it would be lies deep inside. And that’s why I personally won’t belive these words from anybody else.
I said enough, so I want make any attempts to defend my opinion from now on. You can make me bad guy all you want
