I’m downloading the .iso; if it’s not a godawful piece of crappy DVD mastering like some of Toei’s discs I might be tempted to throw my hat into the ring – if that’s what it takes to see all of Haruhi and Nyoron released

Eheh… yeah.
In any case, this is an AWESOME piece of DVD mastering, encoding it will be no trouble at all.
Victor has posted his version btw. I’ve watched both, and both are good. I like both of them. But Gavers’ version is sharper, and with stronger colors, and more volume on the sound, so my vote goes to him if he can fix the missing audio during the credits, which Victor’s version doesn’t have.
