Is encodes.

Seriously.

I want decent, well-done encodes. Is it that hard to find?

I do wish I could have given you rest of Haruhi-chan. I really do. However, there are lines that need to be checked by a TLC. I have not seen any of our TLCs since jedi423 worked on the past batch with me.

It makes it difficult to release episodes when there are lines that need teh checking. I don’t want to release a bad product, like my SUPER fail in episode 17 where I had a typo. (BTW, you want a v2 or should we just wait for the DVD to fix?)

Here is the torrent for the first DVD of Haruhi-chan. I have verified it and it is the DVD. It contains the first ten episodes of Haruhi-chan, as well as the first five episodes of Nyoron. It also contains a commercial and the opening for Haruhi-chan. The DVD is completely raw, there are no subtitles on it.

Now, as for Shamisen work… what I want to do is have one of my good friends & good translators do a full TLC of the episodes, not just the what-lines-don’t-make-sense that I have done for the YouTube versions. However, said friend is half-way through a 10 week internship, and is offly busy. But I’m sure he’ll be able to work on them quicker than I have been xD;;

So yeah, look for at least some of them soonish.

Woo. So today was NOT as productive as it could/should have been. Sorry ;o;

15-20 went into QC, and I’ve got a goodly amount of notes. But keep doing it, guys! The more notes, the better the releases will be!! I’ll probably fix them up after work tomorrow, and hopefully Umi will be around and we can release.

As an added bonus, here is a QC section for 22! So make notes for that too <3

For 21, I need some TSes that I missed. 3 to be exact. So we'll have to wait for a TL to get on.

It's been HOT up here yesterday and today. SRSLY. It got up to 97 degrees yesterday!!! O_O And about 94 today. Completely INSANE. (Here = Minnesota, USA, btw) We are NOT ready for this heat... thank god it's going away though, xD Tomorrow is a high of about 70.

So yeah, that's the reason 23 didn't get done. >_> I was so *hot* that I just passed out. And slept. For a number of hours @_@ 24 would’ve gotten done too. But bleh. THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW.

HARUHI SEASON TWO – LOOKING FOR A TRANSLATOR
Hi! I’m looking for a translator to work on season 2 with! We won’t be fast (Hello, gg/Eclipse/Shinsen/Chihiro/CoalGuys/whoever else will do it fast-like) but hey, I’ll follow the same policy and have it be an open-book process. We don’t have a staff room, all of our QC is done here on the site… yeah, we’re pretty open.

So yeah, if you’re a translator and interested in working on the second season (we’re looking at 14 episodes worth of material, so not *too* much ) please let me know.

Okay, so you all have heard over and over how busy I am.

And how I should hire staff.

So here I am. I’ll do it. For transcriptions.

ALL DONE O_O WOW~ I’ll see about getting these SUBBED <3

I want the DIRECT transcription, including any typos and whatnot. This is the most time consuming part of the process, and so I’ll let you guys help me out <3

So liek, there is a TS file torrented for ep1 of the Haruhi reairing.

Would you guys be interested in me swiping the subs from one of the dual audio releases and syncing it up with the 720p upscales?

There doesn’t appear to be anyone doing it… and well, it’s not like it’d be much work. No timing or copying down subs… just basically restyling and then fitting it to the raw.

(Though the a.f.k. subs’d be better… but the drive I had their release on is dead ;o; – and that would be a lot more work D:)

Edit: After looking at them… I’ve decided not to. They look horrible. :<

So I’ve slowly been working on 9/10, and I’ve kinda come to the conclusion… Yuki wouldn’t use contractions, would she? (From ep10)

Yuki: I’m fine. Don’t worry. -> I am okay. Do not worry.
Yuki: It wasn’t an enemy. -> It was not an enemy.
Yuki: No worries.
Yuki: I’m normal. -> I am normal.

What do rest of you think of this? The way she talks… the way she’s programmed, I don’t think it would make sense for her to use contractions.

I left them in for the previous eps, but as I’m waiting on SuperKad for the immense amount of work needed on 9, I figured I could get some public opinion. If most people think she *should* be using them, I’ll add them back in before release.

So, we got our first negative rating on MAL.

First off, I’d like to say that those are all kinda sorta correct… in a very liberal sense.

You have to remember that we steal the subs from Kadokawa, and just do little fix-ups here and there. For the most part, what we have is just English-ified versions of what they put on YouTube.

If you, Anon person, would be interested in helping us make the Kadokawa translations more literal, feel free to leave us a note. We’d be more than glad to have another translator help out when we go over stuff. Right now I just bug translators about lines that I can’t comprehend… but hey, if you are an expert, please, feel free to let us know~
