I hate the top. I messed with that for nearly 15 minutes before giving up on getting anything that looks even remotely good. Meh, it’s on the screen for a whole 2.05 seconds. >_>

Aside from the possible missing line (PC, check your e-mail) ep2 is done… now onto ep3.

OMG IT IS SO MUCH BETTER WORKING WITH THE DVD SOURCE.

No more of those goddamn ghosting frames between scenes. It’s… wonderful being able to take out all those stupid {\fad(0,40)}… *___*

So I’m 1:45 into the episode, checking the shifting (the audio and typesetting don’t shift the same…) and making sure that we didn’t screw anything up.

Because I forgot headphones, I wasn’t able to do too much audio-based work, since we had company over the ENTIRE WEEKEND, so I put together the new pages: check out episode 01 here. For what I have, I’ll be uploading there. Good Haruhi-chan resource, eh?

This is exciting, it really is.

Now if only I could figure out how to get comments on Pages again…

So here’s the plan. I’ve sent gavers an e-mail, asking him to encode the remainder of the first DVD. Then… we can work!

We’ll do the same as we used to do, back with the YouTube rips. I’ll get the scripts and such ready, mux it in, and then post it up here for you guys to check over, doing our public QC.

You should see episode 1 tomorrow, assuming I don’t lose my stolen internet. Since I already have an encode for it… so yeah, look forward to

Woo. So today was NOT as productive as it could/should have been. Sorry ;o;

15-20 went into QC, and I’ve got a goodly amount of notes. But keep doing it, guys! The more notes, the better the releases will be!! I’ll probably fix them up after work tomorrow, and hopefully Umi will be around and we can release.

As an added bonus, here is a QC section for 22! So make notes for that too <3

For 21, I need some TSes that I missed. 3 to be exact. So we'll have to wait for a TL to get on.

23 timing has started... 24/25 have yet to be edited. X.x

It's been HOT up here yesterday and today. SRSLY. It got up to 97 degrees yesterday!!! O_O And about 94 today. Completely INSANE. (Here = Minnesota, USA, btw) We are NOT ready for this heat... thank god it's going away though, xD Tomorrow is a high of about 70.

So yeah, that's the reason 23 didn't get done. >_> I was so *hot* that I just passed out. And slept. For a number of hours @_@ 24 would’ve gotten done too. But bleh. THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW.

Also, you guys are amazing <3 I love my Shamisen leechers.

HARUHI SEASON TWO – LOOKING FOR A TRANSLATOR
Hi! I’m looking for a translator to work on season 2 with! We won’t be fast (Hello, gg/Eclipse/Shinsen/Chihiro/CoalGuys/whoever else will do it fast-like) but hey, I’ll follow the same policy and have it be an open-book process. We don’t have a staff room, all of our QC is done here on the site… yeah, we’re pretty open.

So yeah, if you’re a translator and interested in working on the second season (we’re looking at 14 episodes worth of material, so not *too* much ) please let me know.

I know, I know, there should be QC encodes, but there’s not. >_>

So, this morning, when I planned on doing stuff, I ended up going to help my mom clean house… then I had my own job. But after that, it was HARDCORE work… except not.

I went to visit my friend, who works at Borders. <_> I ended up getting volume 2 of the Haruhi manga! So I kinda reread half of vol1… and then I really did start to work!

15-17 = Ready for QC
18 = Needs two lines TLCed. :<
19,21-23 = Needs to be timed & have the TLC applied
20 = Needs TLC applied, but is timed
24-25 = I haven't gotten around to editing these.

So, it's 3:30am (I went out for a few hours...) and I'm about to head to bed. I'll be making QC encodes of 15, 16, 17, 18, and 20 when I wake up. (I'll just leave the two lines to be TLCed in for 20, since it's so short) After those are done and uploading, I'll work on timing/applying TLC to 19,21-23. And then make QC encodes of those.

So, by midday tomorrow, I should have 15-23 in QC!

...would you guys be horribly mad if 24/25 weren't *released* on Thursday, but instead just put in QC? >o< And released Friday/Saturday? Or will you stone me for not having them done done? X_x I just wasn’t expecting 16 to take soooooo long X_X And it still looks like shit. v_V

*yawns* I’m tired. It’s 11pm and I wanna sleep… so, I’ll give you final progress on what I got done today.

15 is now typeset, and ready for QC… as soon as I get a few lines TLCed.
16 is partially typeset (I’m in the middle of Mikuru-chan carrying 50-hour-boiled noodles)
17 is timed, and next in line for TS
18 is edited, and ready to be timed
19-23 are in the same state as 18
24 is partially edited
25 has been transcribed, but it’s at the wayyyyy bottom… x_X

I don’t know what I got myself into, saying I’d get it done this week. @_@ I’ll be INSANE, I tell you. Haha. But uh, I hope to get most of the series into QC tomorrow night. Assuming jedi comes on and can do lots-o-tlc ;o; I might have to outsource TLC! O_O But that’d be okay, I guess. xP

So, yeah, this rocks. I got moar done today than I have in… a few months? XD

Everyone, be around to QC tomorrow night/Wednesday during the day. That gives Umi time to do encodes Wednesday night/Thursday ;/

Poor Umi is getting overworked at DATS too. x.X

That means you can expect Haruhi-chan to be done by Friday.

So, quick update, since my laptop battery is about dead:

15-17 = timed, ready to ts
18-22 = edited, ready to be timed
23-25 = transcribed, ready to be edited

I’m in the middle of 21 now… and ttyl!

Edit Monday, 9PM: Okay, got 21/22 edited… and we got another donation, so my due date has been moved up to Thursday. Thanks to Chris for donating a whopping $100… wow…! Look for moar updates tonight.

I want the DIRECT transcription, including any typos and whatnot. This is the most time consuming part of the process, and so I’ll let you guys help me out <3

Also, reply to this post when you do one… and look through the comments before you do one to make sure someone else hasn’t! I can’t be here 24/7 to update the list.

The Gentleman Caller: Yeah, I’ve been downloading as they come out… but last week was even moar insane than before.

crossed: Yeah, I’m just a *tad* behind. >_> Google for downloading from YouTube… there are a few great deals that get you the pretty MP4s

As for BoxTorrents, once we’re done with the series, I suppose we’ll be put on BoxTorrents. ^_^ That’ll be a fun day. Hopefully before I die from being too far behind.

And yeah, I knew about 20 ;o;

Blah: DVD? Sure. High quality will be super win. ^o^ Well, assuming I can find the DVD ISOs. Or someone buys me the DVDs. Because I won’t work from DVD encodes. It’ll be the original source or nothing at all~

As for the opening… assuming all goes OK, yeah, we can redo the karaoke. I haven’t talked to getfresh in ages though… hopefully he’ll be willing to
