Since you all want to know exactly what’s been going on, I’ll try to give you the gist.

I fell way behind in the TV rips, and after doing the last batch, it was like “Why bother? I’ll just wait for the DVDs.” except Umi and me kinda have this stand-off in regards to DVDs. Where I have him download huge DVDISO, make workraw, and I never do anything with it. This has happened many times.

So uh, Umi didn’t do Haruhi-chan DVDs.

I asked my bud, who shall remain nameless because I think he’d kill me (he does know my address) if I revealed who he was, to do it. After much back and forth where I couldn’t make up my mind in regards to some things, he ended up making the encode of episode 1, that I posted that one day. It had the full opening in it, but not the ending. This had to deal with him not knowing about the ending. (x.X) And well, because our schedules are very bad (I work mostly evenings, and he has school, so we never see each other) we really never got talking about it much, and when I asked him about it recently, he kinda went “Eh, I don’t really wanna.”

So, I tried to e-mail one guy that offered awhile back, but he never replied. So yeah, I posted on here. Basically, what I want/need is an experienced encoder that can take the DVDISOs and turn them into pretty video files. I’m not looking for someone who has no clue what they’re doing – at that rate, I could do it myself. (I do have a decent laptop and have done rudimentary encoding before) I want someone that can make these look like gold, because really, we’ve waited long enough. A few extra days to get the perfect filtering down would be, you know, nice.

Nyoron has been completely TLCed, and Haruhi has been completely TLCed except for episode 25 apparently, which for some reason, I forgot to send to PhantomCaller. It has been sent now. (liek, just now, srsly)

As for Toradora, PC said he’d work on it after he finished Haruhi. So they will *hopefully* be coming someday, we’ll have to see.

Now, as for other stuff. I’m looking for a timer that is willing to do a one episode OVA. A long time ago (x.X) I got a very nice script for the OVA Yurumates. I had a wonderful person TLC it, and it has SAT for months. A timer said they were going to do it, but have since vanished. This is a freelance position here, and will be for this one single episode.

Though, if I like what you do, I may ask you to help with another project of mine, but that’s completely depending on how things work out.

So yeah – tl;dr – I need an encoder that knows their shit and will do what they say they’ll do. Please don’t give me empty promises. I also need a timer for Yurumates.

Also, disclaimer. Assume a wonderful encoder appears. I will not guarentee that I’ll have episodes out in a super fast manor. I do work retail (and am at the Maple Grove Kohl’s all weekend, if any of you Shamisen peeps want to meet me. I have red hair and work the registers and will probably be wearing a purple polo one day, and a green one another ) and the Christmas season is upon us. But if I get encodes, I will aim for an episode a day or something like that. Moar on Wednesdays, when I have off. (Because of senior day. Seniors drive me nuts)

Oh, and once we finish up stuff, I have an idea for a project. I dunno if PC would be interested, but I’ll ask him. It could be fun, and it would be a LOT to look forward to Like hundreds of episodes. *sees PC run away*

Whatcha think? I know there are a few bugs to be fixed, like I have to add comments back to the pages above, but I think it looks pretty nice. I was getting kinda tired of that other theme we were using.

I have a headache. If you were in the Maple Grove Kohl’s today with a screaming child, please know that you ruined rest of my shift/day. I’ve had a headache ever sinceeeeee. Grr.

Anyways, 15-18 were sent to Umi. Umi can’t encode tonight cuz he’s got encode backlog for the other 3240280 groups he’s in. So, releases tomorrow instead.

I’ll fix up 19/21 tomorrow as well, so those can go out too~ and maybe if I get time I’ll finish up the other eps.

My “week off” turned into “week of insane heat and headaches and moar work than I wanted” but yeah, at least stuff is getting done.

Haruhi S2 is out though. So that’ll keep everyone happy. Though LE/DB’s video quality… ergh.

New Haruhi Suzumiya Anime Episode Airs

Woo. So today was NOT as productive as it could/should have been. Sorry ;o;

15-20 went into QC, and I’ve got a goodly amount of notes. But keep doing it, guys! The more notes, the better the releases will be!! I’ll probably fix them up after work tomorrow, and hopefully Umi will be around and we can release.

As an added bonus, here is a QC section for 22! So make notes for that too <3

For 21, I need some TSes that I missed. 3 to be exact. So we'll have to wait for a TL to get on.

It's been HOT up here yesterday and today. SRSLY. It got up to 97 degrees yesterday!!! O_O And about 94 today. Completely INSANE. (Here = Minnesota, USA, btw) We are NOT ready for this heat... thank god it's going away though, xD Tomorrow is a high of about 70.

So yeah, that's the reason 23 didn't get done. >_> I was so *hot* that I just passed out. And slept. For a number of hours @_@ 24 would’ve gotten done too. But bleh. THERE IS ALWAYS TOMORROW.

Also, you guys are amazing <3 I love my Shamisen leechers.

HARUHI SEASON TWO – LOOKING FOR A TRANSLATOR
Hi! I’m looking for a translator to work on season 2 with! We won’t be fast (Hello, gg/Eclipse/Shinsen/Chihiro/CoalGuys/whoever else will do it fast-like) but hey, I’ll follow the same policy and have it be an open-book process. We don’t have a staff room, all of our QC is done here on the site… yeah, we’re pretty open.

So yeah, if you’re a translator and interested in working on the second season (we’re looking at 14 episodes worth of material, so not *too* much ) please let me know.

So I finally got ahold of Soulshift – he’s gonna work on SOS2! So that should come eventually. ^_^

Haruhi S2… it’s going to be horribly oversubbed. You know that as well as I do. We’re probably gonna see just as many groups on it as on FmA2 and Eden… but hey, if there is a willing translator out there that wants to work on it here, I wouldn’t be the least bit against adding another subber to the list

Oh, and I wanted to thank you guys for your kind words and thoughts about the Crohn’s walk. It’s tomorrow and I’m really excited ^__^ Our team made about $500… that’s quite a bit, wouldn’t you say? But, I’d like to make it a bit more if possible… so I’ll stick my head out and say… if two more people would donate towards the cause (note that this all goes to Crohn’s research and not a penny into my pocket) I will finish Haruhi-chan by this Friday, and I will do all of Nyoron by the following Tuesday.

And for every other person, you can bump those up a day. (Up to about 5, I don’t think it’d be possible to have them all done so fast ) So say 5 people donated, I would have Haruhi all done by Tuesday, and Nyoron by Saturday. Yes, I am willing to work extra hard, sacrifice my sleep, in order for the better good!
