edit: fine. maybe i’ll continue. honestly, fansubbing has been the least of my worries lately. i could go into a long thing about work and not having time (but really, that’s a lie) but it’s more like i don’t have any interest. i have a hard time concentrating on anything for a longer-than-5-minute period, and i have other mental issues that just don’t make it conducive to do anything. honestly, i was hoping that someone else would pick it up so that i could say “get theirs!!” and you all would be happy and leave me alone i didn’t mean to insult any of you, but when it comes to working on a series that you aren’t all that into (i didn’t even finish watching s2…) and you have problems working on it anyways (and let me tell you, i have been getting worse – compare when i started to now…) it’s kinda like “whatever”.

tl;dr – check the site once a week. or just add to your rss feed or follow me on twitter (@aredmoon) and send me @replies everyday saying “plz do moar shamisen work :(:(” until i get so annoyed that i do it just to shut ya all up ;P

and doki, if you wanna use my scripts as basis for rest of it (so you don’t have to time/copy down subs) or if anyone else wants to play with my stuff… /source/. and i just realized, pc never did haru 19 :O

edit-of-the-edit: oh, and if you do use ‘em somewhere, a kudos to me wouldn’t be turned down. just in a torrentinfo page or something, mention our hard work

So I was trying to type in “crunchyroll.com” on Chrome, and since it auto-adds the URL, I was like, awesome. Except I typoed and hit enter and so I got a google search for “cruny”

…Crunchyroll was the top spot. o.o

PC’s been sick, I’ve been busy. Shamisen is, after all, a two man team + gavers. Who is doing the most work, I swear.

Oh, and Nyoron/Toradora officially dropped.

Just a notice… if Crunchyroll gets Working!!, I fully intend on resubbing it.

And uh, I’ve begun work on 6. Been busy. Been giving 30%, 20%, or 15% to the loads of customers that shop in the Maple Grove Kohl’s for the past few days, and 8.5 hours of giving out BIG DISCOUNTS kinda leaves me tired.

HEY ALL!

Hope you’re enjoying the DVD releases of Haruhi-chan! Only like, a year late, but WHATEV. At least they’re coming, right? And I’m having *fun* fansubbing again, it’s kinda cool sweet.

So I’ve been getting a lot of questions and I figure I might as well answer them for you quick:

Re: Toradora SOS
TBH, doing SOS was one of my worst ideas. A raw appeared on Tosho, I poked around for a translator, and did the first one… thinking it was a done thing. (Notice how the filename does NOT have a number in it?)

Well, low-and-behold, a second one comes. Then a third, and a fourth. Soulshift didn’t have time to do ‘em, and no other translator was willing to do it… and so they sat. Phantom Caller has said he’ll do them, but I happen to know they’re difficult and a pain-in-the-ass, so I’d rather not force him to do ‘em. (Especially since he, like I, doesn’t care for Toradora)

I have, however, put up an advertisement on AnimeSuki for the remaining three episodes.

==> But wait, maybe we won’t have to do them at all. Hiyono appeared in the channel and said they had 1-4 all translated. A joint was discussed… I got into their staff chan… and well, let’s just say: ain’t gonna happen.

He was more concerned about redoing episode 1 with a font change than anything. And when they said an editor was needed… well, I dunno, the idea of a script where the current editor couldn’t handle it scares me. It makes me wonder if the translation is actually any good. The number of v2s also scares me. We only had one and that was because of a bad mishap with a font that I didn’t know couldn’t be used.

But they will probably go forward with it, and if they do, and I don’t find another one… I vote we let PC off the hook, and just don’t bother with doing anymore. Okay?

Re: Nyoron
As those that have lurked around since the beginning know… I don’t like the show. I think it’s dumb, a waste of time, and just plain old too much work.

So my plan, at least in my mind, is to get Haruhi-chan completely done, and then work on Nyoron.

There is reasoning besides the fact that I hate it.
1) There is a lot of typesetting stuff in Nyoron. For the 4 eps of Haruhi-chan that I’ve done, I’ve had to redo most of the typesetting because we don’t have the stupid ghost frames anymore. That means redoing all of Nyoron.
2) Haruhi-chan scripts are pretty much done. Nyoron… are not. I never timed past 5, so 6-13 all need to be done. And I remember that 7 is gonna take me like a week. ;_;
3) More people like Haruhi-chan than Nyoron. Myself included.

So yeah, unless something weird happens, look for Nyoron… later.

I’ve released up to the encodes that gavers has given me. So I can’t work on anything right now. Look forward to episodes 5-25 whenever he sends them to me ^^
